October

I am so excited that October is finally here, it's got to be my favorite month of the year! I love that it is cool in the morning and evening, yet warm enough in the afternoon that you can go outside without melting. The changing of the leaves, the smell in the air, the Fall thunderstorms and of course all things Halloween. We've pulled out our favorite hoodieswarm jammie's, and our favorite spooky books.{Like Room on The Broom, Five Black Cats and Is That You, Wolf?}  Chunky Sweaters, Festive Flavored Coffee, cozy blanket and hocus pocus on repeat is how you will find us this month.

With the weather being so amazing, our favorite thing to do as of late is to pick up a salted caramel coffee and head for a long walk by the river. Ryder rides his bike, Fin snoozes and Gage collects as many colored leaves as he can find. It wears everyone out and makes for such an easy bedtime. I am not looking forward to being stuck indoors all winter. Soon snow cover these trails and we'll all have cabin fever before you know it. But if you ask the boys, they are ready for snowballs and snowmen. Until then, I'll take this view any day of the week.

We've already made it to the pumpkin patch once this year and we plan on going a few more times. Apple picking and a spooky train ride are also on our to do list this month. You guys, can it just be October all year round?!

This view would never get old. Happy October friends. Xo

Fall Style

Happy Fall everyone! Mother Nature is celebrating by bringing us 80 degree weather yesterday and 50 degree weather today, Fall thunderstorms are my absolute favorite. With today being the first day of  cold weather I quickly realized that no one in this house has the right cool weather clothes. Since I was pregnant with Fin in the Spring/Summer her closet is full of warm weather clothes and apparently our boys decided to grow over night and not fit anything they own. So, today I am celebrating this amazing Fall weather by doing some shopping and I thought i'd share with you a few of my finds...

Ryder & Gage are pretty easy to shop for. Old Navy, Gap, Zulily and a few small shops are my go to for them. As you all probably know I love matching the boys! Except Ryder is now in Boy t-shirt sizes instead of Toddler so matching them is pretty difficult. For Gage I just snagged him a few long sleeve tee's from Old Navy and a couple vests including this quilted canvas vest. I have to say that I actually love style of the bigger boy shirts over the toddlers, including this Baby Blue Henley.  Gap is my favorite place to buy jeans for them and their 1969 Slim Jeans are my go to denim. I also just got both boys a pair of these Faux Leather boots that are to die for and some joggers because everyone needs a good pair of sweats.

Since Finley was born early and so small she still has a ton of short sleeve dresses that she doesn't fit into quite yet. So to make them last for Fall/ Winter I got some Classic Cardigan's and Knit Tights  in a few different coordinating colors. I also couldn't pass up adding a few more Swing Dresses because you can't have too many of those.....right?
Throw in a Military Green Parka and some Deer Pajama's and girlfriend is set with the necessities!

I haven't quite gotten around to shopping for myself yet but I love this Lace Shoulder Tunic, Knit Swing Dress and Flannel Zip Up Jacket. Pair them with these Ankle Boots and Pom Beanie and you're cool weather ready.

Since Fall has officially arrived we are spending the day pulling out our Halloween decorations, sipping on salted caramel coffee with the smell of cinnamon pumpkin in the background. If you couldn't tell, these two are ready for Halloween already.

Have a great weekend friends!

Hello Fall

The first day of Fall is just a few days away and we are already soaking up all it has to offer. The chilly mornings wrapped in a blanket with a hot cup of coffee and the crisp fall evening's surrounded by a fire are my absolute favorite. A quick drive up the canyon to collect colorful leaves and relax in a hammock surrounded by the people you love is just good for the soul. The mountain's right now are so beautiful! Full of orange and red color and the best fresh air you could ever imagine. The beach is fun and all, but I'd choose my mountains over it any day of the week!

Pumpkin patches, hocus pocus and pumpkin spice everything are on our to do list for the coming weeks and it's crazy to think the Holiday's come shortly after that.

Summer, it's been real. We love you and all, but bring on Fall!
