One Month Old

Yesterday our sweet little Finely turned one month old. It also is one of the hardest day's in motherhood for me. I took her to the doctor because I noticed she is having a hard time nursing, wasn't having many wet diapers and was super fussy. Turns out she isn't getting much milk due to her nursing issues and has lost weight. She is down to 6lbs 10oz. She was 6lbs 11oz at two weeks old so she should be weighing a lot more than that. You guys, my heart broke. I have one job....feed the baby! So I will be meeting with a lactation consultant to fix her latch but have to supplement in the mean time. She is just so little and I am ready to put some meat on her bones.

Now that she has a full belly she is just the happiest baby. She is still sleeping most of the day and She gets up 2-3 times a night to eat. She loves to be swaddled, her binky, sleeping on mama's chest, being burped and taking a bath. She does not like being changed, getting dressed and waiting for food.

Honestly I was so afraid to have a third baby. Everyone that gave me advice said going from 2-3 had been the hardest transition. Someone even said having a third baby was like you are drowning and someone throws you a baby. I was terrified! But it actually has been the easiest transition yet. To me, it's not much different than having two. Granted she is only a month old and really doesn't do much right now so ask me in a couple of months. So if anyone is nervous about adding a third baby, it really wasn't that bad for us! That being said...no more babies for us. :)

I have some fun stuff coming to the blog soon! I'm working on a new name, layout and content. Thank you for sticking with me as I slowed down a little bit after having the baby! I also have some really awesome giveaways coming up, one starting this weekend so make sure you keep an eye out and are following on Instagram! @whitrichins

Hope you are all having a great week! xo
