Hello, Sunshine!

Spring is slowly popping up around here with the sun rising earlier, days getting longer, temps climbing higher and waking up to the sound of birds chirping. My heart is so happy! I love the afternoon light that is starting to pour through my windows and fresh flowers scattered throughout the house is so good for the soul. Sun, how we've missed you!!

With our home being newly built, our backyard is just dirt. An empty canvas that I couldn't be more excited to make our own. A fire pit, patio set complete with some string lights, sandbox and play area, chickens, a garden, glowing lanterns everywhere and plenty of trees and flowers are on our wish list. Hello dreamy Summer nights! I can't wait until you're here.
Until then, we did buy a little rocker set from At Home for our front porch and we've already enjoyed plenty of sunshine out there. For the most part our front yard is done, it just needs a few flowers and trees. We also have a little square by our front porch that is just dirt right now where I want to eventually put a small fountain with some landscaping, but the boys love digging in the dirt so it will probably be one of the last things to be done.

I swear every Spring I get an itch that makes me want to do nothing but spring clean, organize and redecorate!! A fresh home is just what the doctor ordered for a new season. We made a trip to Hobby Lobby and quickly realized I needed everything in the store. With my cart full Ryder said "oooh mom, I think dad's going to be angry. I would say he's going to kill you but that isn't a nice word. But he might be angry." Who is this kid?? And he was so right. So I argued with myself for 10 minutes and just snagged a few goodies for our master bedroom. Gold and coral are my jam right now. Hello bright colors!

Gage is still sick but is now on some antibiotics to help clear a sinus infection and stuff in his lungs. Other than that he has recovered well from getting tubes and for the first time he has no ear infection as a result of his cold. Warm weather, sunshine and fresh air is the best medicine!

Hope you are all having a great week full of sunshine! Here's to Spring just around the corner! xo

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday everyone! We had a very busy week and are so excited for the warm weather this weekend is going to bring. Gage had his surgery this week for his tubes in his ears. Although he hated waking up from anesthesia, the procedure went well and we are so glad to have it over with. He does have a fever that we can't seem to get rid of so we are closely monitoring that, but he's definitely been a champ through it all.

How cute is he with that little gown and those socks?? I.die. Now, On to this week's Friday Favorite's!

Since the boys will soon be sharing a room I've been on the hunt for a whole new theme for the room. I love the idea of a camping theme using this Campground Bedding and décor like this. I don't care what anyone says, little boy stuff is so cute!

I eventually want to make a cute little coffee bar in my kitchen and this Metal Cup Holder would be perfect for all my mugs. Plus it's different than traditional shelving on the wall to hold them.

You guys, Easter is NEXT MONTH. How did that happen?? I don't care how, I'm just so excited! I'm slowly starting to find little things here and there for Ryder and Gage's Easter basket which of course is not complete without a good pair of Jammies. These for boys and these for girls. Gap is seriously killing it in the Easter Jammie department for girl. Seriously, I'll take one of each....for the girl I don't have {yet}. Speaking of which, we will find out the gender of the baby the week before Easter. So I did snag a gender neutral pair of jammies. The babe will definitely have an Easter basket too! I may or may not have ordered a few baby girl dresses like this one soooo....if I end up having a boy hit me up if you have a baby girl in need of some dresses! :)

The baby bump is already starting to show so I went ahead and ordered a few pair of maternity jeans. These Black Distressed Skinny Jeans and Medium Wash Distressed Skinny Jeans are even cuter in person and are so comfortable. Although Tyson did a nice little eye roll when he saw I bought another pair of jeans with holes in them. Speaking of baby bumps, keep your eye out for some fun pregnancy posts coming up!

I hope you all had a great week and have a weekend of sunshine ahead of you! xo

Valentine's Day

Another fun little Holiday with the family is in the books and it definitely didn't disappoint. Ryder woke up Valentine's morning with yet another nasty cold. Seriously, I'm not making this up. So we spent the day snuggled in Jammie's and blankies watching movies and I wouldn't have had it any other way! Ryder and Gage woke up to some balloons, treats, stickers and of course some monster trucks. To them It was like Christmas morning all over again.

Gage was being dramatic because we wouldn't let him eat the balloon. Poor kid.

It isn't vday in this house without pink pancakes! This was right before Gage sneezed into his bowl of flour and it flew everywhere

Even though we spent another Holiday sick and indoors, I wouldn't have it any other way! As long as we're together then it's perfect to me.

I finished off our holiday weekend squeezing a bump into some comfy's and eating my weight in gelato. Because apparently your third baby bump shows up extra early. Hope you all had a great Valentine's Day with your loved ones!

Never Ending Sick Days

To say I'm done with sick kids is an understatement. Poor boys have been through Sickness after sickness. Colds, stomach flu's, rashes, more colds, mysterious fevers and ear infections week after week. Seriously, I can't even make this stuff up. Ryder finally got over another cold and Gage was still on antibiotics when Ryder caught some weird virus that gave him a super high fever and no other symptoms for 3 days. He would wake up in the middle of the night screaming, hallucinating spiders all over him and he didn't recognize his dad. I finally got him in a cool bath at 4 am on Thursday after 15 minutes of convincing him that it was water in the tub and not spiders.  He finally is over it but Gage hasn't caught it yet so I'm bracing myself for another case of it just so I'm prepared.

Gage also caught some weird rash on his cheeks. He kept itching them but for the most part he acted just fine.

This poor kid entertaining himself while I tend to sick Ryder. His personality kills me.

How I've been surviving lately...with coffee in hand. Taking care of sick kids is so hard and it's even harder being sick and pregnant myself with no break in between. We are praying for healthy kids, warm weather and more sleep!

Hope you're having a happy and healthy start to your week!

Hello, February

Happy February everyone!! Man I'm so excited this month is here. Even though we woke up to another huge snow storm, we know Spring will be here soon. It's weird to think that the first day of Spring and Easter is next month! February will also bring my second trimester which will hopefully mean I will start to feel better! Gage will also have his tube surgery this month and we are looking forward to him feeling better. And of course another favorite holiday is this month.

Since we woke up to a huge blanket of snow we decided to skip school, make some festive pancakes and play in the snow instead.

We spent most of our January in our Jammie's, sick, going stir crazy and dreaming of warmer weather. Gage's face perfectly describes how I feel about January.

We are ready for you February! And for the love of everything holy, please don't see your shadow Groundhog.
