First Day Of Summer

Happy first day of Summer everyone! Unfortunately, our weekend started off with a sick kid and we spent most of our day cleaning up puke. Who knew a little body could vomit so much?? I have been stressed all weekend thinking we are all going to be sick when this baby arrives. But thankfully Ryder is feeling better and so far me and the hubby aren't showing signs of catching it. Pray we don't catch it!!
Even though the first weekend of Summer got off to a rocky start, we did get a cool down on Thursday and I was actually able to take Ryder on a long walk in the morning and not be miserable and hot. In fact, we were both in sweatshirts!

Don't worry, The next day it jumped back up into the 90's and I went back to my hot mess, waddling, 39 weeks pregnant self.

This poor sick boy just wanted to cuddle all day yesterday. Unfortunately our cuddling went from cute and sweet to puke in my hair and down my shirt. The dog was a little luckier than me.

We finally got outside for some fresh air and a Popsicle today.

This is our last weekend as a family of three and even though we couldn't do much, I am soaking up every minute of it! I hope you all are having a great Summer weekend and cheers to a new baby next week!

Fourth of July Favorites

Is it just me or is this Summer already flying by?? The Fourth of July is my favorite Summer holiday and I can't help but dress up for it. A few weeks ago I dragged my husband shopping for "4th of July outfits" for the boys and he looked at me like I was crazy. He about walked out of Old Navy when I suggested he get a matching outfit too. It's a good thing he loves me. There are a ton of festive clothes online right now but here are a few of my favorites.

Since the baby will probably only be about week old for the 4th, we are planning on relaxing at home and celebrating in our own way. I'm thinking some star pancakes for breakfast, a BBQ with some festive drinks for dinner, then finishing out the night with a fire and a s'mores bar.

This 4th of July is going to be really special with it being the first holiday we celebrate as a family of 4. Baby boy will be snoozing away in his star Jammie's while Ryder is at the perfect age to enjoy the fireworks. All while I kick back and watch my little family and realize how blessed I really am.

Check out my Fourth of July Board on Pinterest for more inspiration.

39 Weeks

How far along: 39 Weeks
Gender: Boy!!
Weight gain: 20+ lbs
Maternity clothes: Even my maternity clothes are getting tight and uncomfortable. My hubby's shirts are the comfiest right now :)
Stretch marks: 2 on my belly. I'm afraid I'll get more if I go any longer!
Belly button in or out: It's flat and not cute at all
Sleep: No good! I'm so uncomfortable laying down and don't even get me started on rolling over
Best moment this week: Realizing my due date is next week. So excited and nervous at the same time!
Worst moment this week: My hips hurt so bad. I definitely have a sweet waddle going on
Miss anything: Yes I miss not being pregnant :)
Movement:  Some of his kicks could knock me off my feet!
Cravings:  Smoothies, fruit juices and limeades
Queasy or sick: Not sick just super tired
Looking forward to: Meeting this babe next week!!

We got the babies bassinet set up in our bedroom and Ryder wanted to check it out. Now at bed time he  throws his blanket in it and asks to lay in it. I think he's just a tad too big.

Have a great Tuesday!

Father's Day & Anniversary

Yesterday was not only Father's Day but it was also our 7th wedding anniversary! Because we thought baby #2 would be here by now, we didn't have a whole lot planned. Sunday Ryder served daddy in bed with big latte and a card he colored all by himself. We spent the rest of the day playing, relaxing, visiting family and Ryder just enjoyed being with his dad.

This guy fixes owies, dries tears, gives the best horsey rides, is the best wrestling partner, gives the best baths, is a master at bedtime, takes late nights and early mornings like a champ, gets his beard pulled 20 times a day with a smile, shares his hats and sunglasses, and is more than patient with a toddler tantrum. No one compares to daddy in Ryder's eyes.

I sure got lucky when I found this man. He is the best husband and father to our kids, I couldn't ask for any more! Happy Father's Day and Anniversary Tyson, I can't wait to see what the future holds for us!

I have also been blessed with an amazing dad, father in law and grandpa's that I don't know what I'd do without them in my life. Happy Fathers Day to all you dads out there!

Oh Monday.....It's just my luck that my doctor is out of town when I'm 39 weeks pregnant. So the rest of this week will be spent relaxing and trying not to go into labor until atleast next Monday. I'm going to make sure I soak up every last minute with Ryder and every wink of sleep I can get before the madness begins

Hello Summer Time

Summer Time has officially arrived over here! There's nothing like opening the windows in the morning, turning on some music, and enjoying some iced coffee next to some fesh flowers. I finally broke down and bought this coconut milk candle and it smells exactly like summer!

Even though it's really hard being 9 months pregnant in this heat, we are still spending lots of time outside in the sunshine. With it getting harder to chase after a toddler tornado, our daily walks have been cut back and we mostly find ourselves relaxing on the front porch during the cool morning hours. I'm ready for this babe to get here so I can get back to doing normal things. I'm really excited to take Ryder to the pool and splash pad this year since he is old enough to enjoy it.

Did I mention I'm a thousand weeks pregnant?? Thankfully my doctor appointment went really well and I'm already starting to progress. We had a labor false alarm the other morning and contractions stopped right as my husband got home to take me to the hospital. I'm hoping for his arrival this week but with my luck it probably won't happen. For now I'm just trying my best to enjoy this last little bit of pregnancy because I know I'll miss it once he's not in my belly anymore.

Happy Monday!!

37 Weeks

How far along: 37 Weeks
Gender: Boy!!
Weight gain: I will find out at my appointment tomorrow
Maternity clothes: If you consider yoga pants and my husbands t-shirts maternity clothes
Stretch marks: 2 on my belly. Gasp!
Belly button in or out: It's flat and not cute at all
Sleep: What sleep?? It has been impossible to get a good nights rest between going to the bathroom and having to sit up to roll from side to side
Best moment this week: Putting together the swing, bassinet and pre registering at the hospital. Getting so close!
Worst moment this week: Just having no energy, no sleep and sore hips
Miss anything: Fitting into jeans, sleeping on my belly and I just miss not being pregnant :)
Movement:  Lots of it!  His kicks are really strong now that he's running out of room
Cravings:  Orange juice, smoothies, ice cream sandwiches and toast.
Queasy or sick: This week I've been really nauseous. I think it's because it's been so hot outside
Looking forward to: My appointment tomorrow. Hoping I am progressing some what!

Like I said we got the last of the baby stuff set up and we are officially ready for this little guy's arrival. Pray to the cervix gods that I've started to dilate!

Fathers Day Gift Guide

Father's Day is right around the corner and with baby #2 due soon I wanted to get my shopping done soon, just in case he arrives early. {PLEASE arrive early little man!!} Here are some of my favorite gift ideas I have found.

First, Check out my Fathers Day Gift Idea from last year. I plan on doing this every year and think it would make a great tradition. Then you can look back at how your kids have grown.

My husband's night stand is covered in keys, change, Chapstick, receipts, pens and random junk. It drives me NUTS. This Desk Caddy would be a perfect way to organize it.

If your husband is anything like mine he has a weird thing about razors and will spend a fortune on them. This Shaving Kit would be a great gift for any man. Throw in their favorite shave gel and you've got an awesome gift.

We can never find a bottle opener in our house! This Personalized Wood Bottle Opener is an easy and simple gift idea. You could even stick a magnet on it and throw it on the fridge!

Every holiday I like to do a fun craft with Ryder. Hand prints are my favorite and since my hubby likes to fish this would be perfect.

Happy shopping!!

Ryder's Truck Birthday Party

Saturday we had Ryder's 2nd birthday party and even though it was so windy that we had to move the party indoors, it was so much fun and he had a blast.
We of course went with a truck theme since that is Ryder's favorite thing ever. I found the cutest table decorations and I even got truck balloons, but because of the wind it all blew away within a few minutes.

Ryder's cake was my favorite part! It turned out amazing thanks to my step mom. I cringed when we cut it, it was just so cute! He even got his own little cake that he could eat all by himself.

                        {invitations}

He reeeeaaalllyyy wanted those trucks off the cake.

There were almost a few tears once everyone started singing happy birthday but then he realized he got to blow out the candle.

He was really excited to open his presents but didn't understand why he couldn't play with the toy he just opened. He started to get tired and let daddy open them for him.

Ryder had so much fun and got spoiled. He sure is loved! Hopefully all these new toys will keep him entertained when the new baby comes in less than 30 days!
