15 month update & favorites

Age: 15 months
Stats: 24 lbs 80% 31 inches long 80%
Sleep schedule: Sleeps from about 8pm to 8am with one 2 hour nap during the day.
Favorite foods: MILK. If this kid could just drink milk all day he would! Yogurt, avocado, green beans, peaches, mango, pasta and Cheerios. He also hates juice and only drinks water or milk.
Clothes: He is wearing 18-24 month pants and mostly 2T shirts. He almost fits into a size 5 shoe.
Favorite activities: He loves throwing balls! He has all sorts of sports balls and he could just play with these all day long. He loves being outside and going for walks. He stands at the door trying to open it crying to go outside like i'm torturing him. And of course playing with Cash.
Things he hates: Getting out of the bath tub and getting lotion put on. He also hates when I don't let him do certain things himself. He is starting to get very independent! Bananas and blueberries.
Words he says: Mama, Dada, Papa, Cash, ball, bird, outside (ah ah), Mickey (bickey), yucky (ku ku), nose, fuff (I don't know what he is trying to say when he says this, but it sounds like the F word and I get some weird looks in public) and says bubble for bubble guppies. He also knows "eat", "drink" and "more" in sign language.

Here are some of our favorites...

1. Wooden Tool Kit  This is by far one of Ryder's favorite toys. He loves to take everything out of it then put it back in the box. It has an assortment of tools and screws that you can put together so as he gets older he can learn to build things.

2. Boone Water Bug Bath Toy This is seriously the best bath toy every!! It comes with bugs and a net. The best thing about this is the bugs float but don't fill with water so you don't have to worry about them getting moldy.

3. It's Not Easy Being a Bunny Book Ryder has started getting bored of baby books so this has been one of his favorite books for the past little while. He is starting to learn about animals so with every animal we make the sound. It also has the perfect amount of pages. Not too long and not too short.

4. Football Pajamas Even though the afternoons have been SO hot here, the evenings and mornings are starting to get a little chilly. So these jammies are perfect for this time of year. And we are so excited for Football Season!!

5. Teepee  We actually bought this Teepee for Ryder when he was about 9 months old, but he is just starting to love it! He loves stashing his toys and reading his books in there.

Even though he has all these fun toys, sometimes the best toys are not toys at all.

You can just call him wreck it Ryder.

Hope you all have a fun and safe Labor Day weekend!

Cara Box Reveal

Cara Box

For those of you who dont know what Cara Box is, it was started by Katelyn at Wifessionals Blog. Bloggers and non bloggers are paired up, get to know eachother then send a box relating to that months theme. For more info or to participate click on the link above.

There was not a theme this month, you were just paired with someone in your age category and whether or not you have kids. I was paired up to send a box to Kenzie and Chelsey was paired to send me a box.

I was suprised to find that I had so much in common with both of these girls! Kenzie has a little girl around Ryder's age, she is building a house and is a full time nursing student. Talk about busy! I loved getting to know her and her blog is so fun to read! We will definitely be keeping in touch and I love that I have a new blogger friend. To see what I sent Kenzie head on over to her blog.

Me and Chelsey have so much in common and she sent me the cutest box!! We share a love for Christmas Vacation and Criminal Justice!  Chelsey has a 2 year old boy and is pregnant with twin girls! Here is what she sent me...

She found out fast that I love Coffee, Fall and Chapstick. So she sent me some EOS Chapstick {My favorite!!!} a cute scarf and the cutest personlized coffee mug.

She threw in a bag of my favorite Candy- Twix! But my husband snatched those up faster then I could open the box.

She also sent me a cute notepad and clipboard. She doesn't know this but I LOVE making lists!! You better believe this thing already has my Christmas list on it....

Not only did she think of me while making this box she also sent something to Ryder and Cash! Cash went crazy for his rope toy and has been tossing it around all day.

And she sent Ryder some bubbles! He had a blast chasing them around the yard and he even tried eating them off the grass. Now let me tell you, these bubbles came in the best container! It is made so they are impossible to spill. My OCD thanks you!!

Thank you Chelsey for the wonderful box that you sent me! It was so thoughtful and I had a blast getting to know you! I am glad that I have a new blogger friend and I cant wait to see those baby girls!!
Make sure you all go check out Chelsey's Blog

HAPPY HUMPDAY!!

Weekend Randomness

How is it already Monday?? Weekends are flying by too quickly lately!! Here's what we've been up to...

Ryder got his first black eye over the weekend. Curse you glass end table! It's for sale....anyone want it??

He also has learned how to sit in the dishwasher. He thinks its a blast and screams bloody murder when I take him out.

It was so chilly Saturday Morning! It totally felt like Fall and I loved it! We had breakfast wrapped in blankets and Ryder refused to eat without his balloon.

Saturday me and the hubby went on a date and guess what we ended up doing?? Shopping for the babe. Happens EVERY time! There were some amazing sales and I picked up some Fall clothes and CHRISTMAS Jammie's for Ryder!

Sunday rolled around and we watched a little pre season football. We are all patiently waiting for the season to start!!!

And now this was us this morning... Me trying to get ready quickly in our tiny downstairs bathroom and Ryder not wanting me to. So he ended up in the sink with my makeup brushes.

Keep an eye out for my Halloween favorites coming up soon! And I will be posting some Fall and Halloween crafts as soon as Pumpkins are in season. Happy Monday!

PS: Ruum is on sale at zulily.com today! Go snatch some Fall styles while you can.

Ryder's Newborn Pictures {2012}

Since I just recently started blogging, I thought I would share a few of my favorite pictures from when Ryder was just born and I wasn't blogging. You can also check out Ryder's Valentine's Day Pics , One Year pics , and my Maternity pics

So before I start getting Halloween crazy on the blog, here are Ryder's newborn pictures.

If you haven't figured it out yet my hubby is a hunter, hence the camo and duck calls below. I was worried that these would look redneck....but they turned out PERFECT!!
He had a little red tint to his hair when he was born and the camo totally brings it out. He's all blonde now!

I had to get a few with this cute skull blanket too. I love the colors of it and it matched the back drop perfectly.

I cant believe how little and squishy he was! I think my ovaries just skipped a beat....

Speaking of a little baby Ryder, this picture reminds me of how fast he is growing!! Please slow down!!!

Crock Pot BBQ Chicken

This by far is the easiest and yummiest recipe that I have! It is my go to meal when I have a busy day and we eat it atleast once a week. It is definitely one of our favorites.

Here's what you will need:

3lbs Chicken Breasts
18 oz bottle of BBQ Sauce
1/2 Cup Kraft Zesty Italian Salad Dressing
1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
2 Tablespoons Worchestershire Sauce
Rolls
Sliced Cheese

Directions:

1. Place Chicken in the crock pot
2. Mix together bottle of BBQ sauce, Italian dressing, brown sugar and Worchestershire sauce
3. Pour over Chicken
4. Cover and cook 3-4 hours on HIGH or 6-8 hours on LOW

5. When it is done, Shred the chicken with a fork. It should shred really easy.

Serve on rolls with sliced cheese and with any kind of side. We love to eat it with steamed veggies. They can be messy but they are SO good!

Even the babe loves it!

I hope you enjoy it as much as my family and I do!

Ryder's Room Inspiration

Since we are in the process of trying to sell our house, I am patiently waiting to re-do Ryder's room when we are in a new home. So until then, I am searching Pinterest high and low to find inspiration.

I want his room to be very rustic but also modern. With Antler & Deer decorations and pallets....lots of pallets!

I am definitely going to be doing a pallet wall somewhere in his room. And when I say I, I mean my husband. I also love the Deer head on the pallet wall above, but I have yet to find one to buy.

By time I get to re-doing Ryder's room he will hopefully be in a toddler bed. I haven't found any bedding I love yet except for this sheet. This sheet and the Antler Blanket pictured above is from my new favorite Etsy shop called CarlyMegan. I am obsessed with her unique Antler design and I will be purchasing many things from her including her clothing!

Our weekend

We are usually running around crazy on the weekends but we were actually able to relax this time! It rained most of Friday and Saturday so the days were full of naps, movies, cuddles and jammies all day. I love love LOVE thunderstorms!

Can you tell it's hunting season??

We did get break from the rain Saturday and we were able take a walk by the river.

Ryder totally freaked when cash went flying into the water. He pointed at him and screamed. I think he thought Cash was getting hurt.

Sunday, after our usual morning coffee and playing in the rocks, we hiked up to a grotto. Another reason why I love where we live. Nothing like the mountains!

We are now finishing our Sunday with some Football! I hope you all had a great weekend full of fun!!

xoxo
