Memorial Day Weekend

What a great holiday weekend! Tyson ended up having 4 days off and it was so nice having him home. Ryder especially loved it and was not happy when he woke up this morning and daddy wasn't hiding under the covers to surprise him. We spent most the weekend fishing, feeding the ducks and going for long walks.

Saturday we finished up birthday shopping for Ryder and hit up some Memorial Day sales. I made the mistake of going into a Carter's outlet during their 50% off sale and the new baby officially has way too many clothes.

Sunday Tyson smoked a brisket {which was amazing!} and we spent all day playing basketball and running around the backyard.

Monday was so hot so we spent all day playing in the water. This water table was suppose to be a birthday present but I couldn't help myself! He absolutely loved it. His favorite part was filling up the cups and pouring it on the dog.

Despite running around all day everyday, this kid has his 2 year molars coming in and sleeping this weekend just didn't happen. Sunday night was the worst and Ryder kept saying "ow mama!" His mouth hurt so bad. I gave him some Tylenol and he spent 3 hours just hanging out in his bed. Poor kid.

Perfect shirt after getting 3 hours of sleep.

I hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend and took a moment to remember why we celebrate this day. Thank you to all who have served, are still serving and their families for your sacrifice for this country.

It's officially Ryder's birthday week so we will be busy getting ready for all the fun this weekend! Happy Tuesday

  2. Poor little guy! I swear by Baltic Amber Teething Necklaces! My little Ryder has worn one since 5 months old & he has barely had any troubles. http://www.ambergoose.ca/
